Woltman commits to Butler Univesity

MATTOON – Jenna Woltman, junior at Effingham St. Anthony High School and a player for the Premier Fastpitch Softball 16U Gold has verbally committed to continue her softball career at Butler University.

Woltman plays summer ball for Coach Denise Prather. The Premier Fastpitch 16U Gold were the 2015 Illinois ASA A 16U State Champions and placed 33rd at the ASA/USA 16U A Nationals in Chattanooga, TN in the 185 team event that draws top teams from across the nation.

Woltman as a sophomore received Illinois Coaches Association 1A All State Second Team honors, earned a spot on the National Trail Conference First Team, as well as, named to the Decatur Herald All Area Second Team.

She hit .577 with four home runs, led the team with 48 RBIs and nine triples for St. Anthony.

She is coached in high school by Crystal Tipton and will graduate in 2017.

Butler University is a NCAA Division I School that competes in the Big East Conference.

She is the daughter of Diane and Dan Woltman.
