Premier Fastpitch Black 16U falls to Diamondstorm 4-3 despite big hitting performance

Allison Apke hit three home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry Premier Fastpitch Black 16U to a win on Sunday, as Premier Fastpitch Black 16U fell to Diamondstorm 4-3 at Pekin Dome in seven innings.

Kaylea Chappelle put together a nice outing. Kaylea held Diamondstorm hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Lexie Black was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed no runs.

Premier Fastpitch Black 16U jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. A solo home run by Allison started the inning off.

Premier Fastpitch Black 16U got one-run rallies in the fourth inning and the seventh. In the fourth, Premier Fastpitch Black 16U scored on a solo home run by Allison.

Diamondstorm stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring four runs on a two-run double by Pleonse, an error, and an RBI single by Ledbetter.

One Premier Fastpitch Black 16U run crossed the plate in the top half of the seventh, making the score 4-3. A solo home run by Allison fueled Premier Fastpitch Black 16U's comeback. Diamondstorm closed the game out when Florey got Lexie to strike out.

Premier Fastpitch Black 16U refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Diamondstorm, recording a 9-1 victory on Sunday at Pekin Dome.

With six runs in the first three innings, Premier Fastpitch Black 16U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run single by Allison Apke and a two-run home run by Kaylea Chappelle during the first inning and a two-run error in the second inning supplied the early offense for Premier Fastpitch Black 16U.

Kaylea racked up two RBIs on one hit for Premier Fastpitch Black 16U.

Baylee Sparks looked sharp on the mound. Diamondstorm managed just two hits off of Sparks, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during her three innings of work.

Kaylea got the win for Premier Fastpitch Black 16U. She allowed one run over three innings. She struck out three, walked none and surrendered four hits.

Premier Fastpitch Black 16U refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Hitting Center Mix, recording an 8-0 victory on Saturday at February Bash, Pekin, IL.

With eight runs in the first three innings, Premier Fastpitch Black 16U left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An RBI double by Allison Apke, a two-run home run by Anni Borries, and an RBI single by Lexie Black in the first inning and a two-run double by Kaylea Chappelle and an RBI single by Brigette Belt during the second inning fueled Premier Fastpitch Black 16U's offense early.

Anni racked up two RBIs on one hit for Premier Fastpitch Black 16U.

Premier Fastpitch Black 16U refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Southeast Iowa , recording a 9-1 victory on Saturday at Pekin Dome.

With seven runs in the first three innings, Premier Fastpitch Black 16U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Conner Cutright and a hit by pitch during the first inning and an RBI single by Brenna Finck, an RBI single by Allison Apke, and a two-run double by Kaylea Chappelle in the second inning supplied the early offense for Premier Fastpitch Black 16U.

Conner boosted her batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace Premier Fastpitch Black 16U.

Southeast Iowa 's lineup had no answer for Baylee Sparks. Sparks gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during her three innings of work.
